IMPORTANT NOTES:
(i) Age will be calculated on the 1st January, 2016.
(ii) LOCAL/ DOMICILE CERTIFICATE:The candidate should submit local/domicile
certificate of his/her district. A married female candidate not already in Government
service and desires to apply on the basis of local/domicile certificate of her husband,
should submit the local/domicile certificate of herhusband containing her name. In
case of in-service candidates, the local/domicile certificate endorsed in service record
of department will be accepted.
(iii) The Government reserves the right not to fillany vacancy or to fill more or less than
the number of vacancies announced by the Commission.
(iv) ZONAL ALLOCATION:The zonal allocation of vacancies has been made in
accordance with the Government of Balochistan’s Recruitment Policy of 1991.
(v) ELIGIBILITY:Eligibility of the candidates in terms of Recruitment Rules and the
advertised conditions shall be determined after theconduct of screening/ professional
test/ examination. On detailed scrutiny of the applications if they are found
ineligible, their candidatures will be cancelled irrespective of the fact whether they
have appeared in the examination/ test or even qualified therein. On rejection of
application of candidates on the basis of their ineligibility, the Commission would
inform the applicants. The candidates should, therefore, make sure before applying
that they are eligible in all respects for the postthey have applied for.
(vi) Persons already in Government/ Semi Governmentservice should apply through
proper channel.
(vii) VIVA VOCE TEST:The written examination qualified candidates will be called for
Viva Voce Test and the same would be containing thefollowing: CURRENT AFFAIRS:For the last one or two months, important happening / issues which are highlighted in Press/ Electronic Media. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE:Related to Balochistan, Pakistan and International. ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS STUDIES:Islamic questions regarding day to day issues as Muslim and Period of Khulafa-e-Rashideen. However,a candidate belonging to other religion would be asked questions according to his/ her religion. PAKISTAN STUDIES:From 1857 – Till-date.
(viii) The applicants are required to submit one set of their documents along with the
application form in a proper file cover. All the educational certificates/ degrees/
DMCs must be verified from the concerned Board/ University and Local/ Domicile
Certificate from the concerned competent authority.
(ix) The candidates are required to fill the application form carefully and attach Optional
Paper Certificate annexed with the application formby indicating their optional
subjects. Option of subjects once exercised shall be final and no change will be
entertained. Application not accompanied by Optional Paper Certificate shall liable
to be rejected.
(x) Incorrect/ suppressed information in various columns of application form will render
a candidate to be disqualified.
Applications are invited for filling in the following temporary but likely to become
permanent posts in the Services & General Administration Department by initial recruitment through
the Competitive Examination based on prescribed syllabus:
QUALIFICATION:
• Graduate from a recognized University (for the posts of Assistant Commissioner).
• Bachelor Degree 2nd
Classfrom a Recognized University (for the posts of Section Officer).
AGE LIMIT:
Minimum (21) years and Maximum (28) years (on 1st January, 2016) plus Ten (10) years
general relaxation in upper age limit granted by the Government of Balochistan.
GENDER:
Both Male and Female Citizens of Pakistan, Local/ Domiciled residents of Balochistan are
eligible.
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:
The numbers of attempts for serving and non-serving candidates are three (03). Those
candidates who have already availed three chances of PCS Competitive Examination are not eligible.
EXAMINATION FEE:
The candidates should deposit the Examination Fee Rs.500/-(Rupees Five Hundred only)
for each post in the State Bank/ National Bank or Government Treasury on prescribed provincial
(green colour) Challan Form under the Head “C-02101-Organ of State Examination Fee
Balochistan Public Service Commission”.

(a) Copies of Matriculation to Final Academic Qualification Certificates/ Degrees alongwith Detail
Marks Certificates duly verified from the concernedBoard/ University.

BPSC Jobs 2015 Compulsory Optional Subjects Complete Details
COMPULSORY SUBJECTS
1. a) English:This paper is intended to test the candidate’s command of the English language and
may include précis writing, usage of idioms, etc.
b) English Essay:An essay to be written in English on one of severalspecified subjects and is intended
to test the candidate’s ability to compose.
2. a) Essay in Urdu/Sindhi/Pushto/Balochi/Brahui / Punjabi:This paper is intended to test his candidate’s command of the language concerned.
b) General Paper in Urdu/Punjabi/Sindhi/Pashto/Baluchi / Brahui:
This paper is intended to test the ability of the candidate’s to write the language fluently and to translate from English into it. Candidates will be expected to have a grasp of the language and to understand poetry and prose, knowledge of literature as such will not for part of this paper.
3. General Knowledge including Everyday Science:
This paper is intended to test the candidate’s knowledge of current world affairs and also of broad facts of historical, political geographical and economics importance. A section will be included to test the candidate’s knowledge and understanding of matters of everyday observation and experience in this scientific aspect. 70 marks will be allowed for General Knowledge and 30 marks for Everyday Science.
4. Islamic and Pakistan Studies:
The candidate should be able to answer the questions on the following topics:
i. Shariat-i-Islam and Arkan-i-Islam.
ii. Holy Prophet’s life.
iii. Pakistan’s Movement and Historical Feature of Pakistan.
5. Viva Voce:
The viva voce will be to test the personal qualities of the candidates. This
examination will be in matters of general interest and is intended to test candidates’
alertness, intelligence and general outlook. Consideration will also be paid to the
bearing and physique of the candidates.

Note: Special attention should be paid to the authors name and a candidate will be expected to be
familiar with some of their works. A candidate willalso be expected to have studied the literary history of this period and to have done some independent reading outside the author’s name. In making the paper importance will be attached to evidence of the wide reading and independent judgement.

Logic will cover all the topics usually discussed in deductive and inductive logic including the Categories and the predicable. The Reduction of Syllogisms, different kinds of Syllogics and Quantitative Determination, Questionsmay be set not only on points of doctrine but also on the logical analysis of arguments.
1. The Problem of Philosophy, its relation with common sense, Science, and Religion. The Method of Philosophy and Divisions of Philosophy.
2. Theories of knowledge Sceptionism, Realism, Intuitionism, Pragmatism.
